This had to be turned around. CARE O2 started offering a unique service to Dutch insurance companies. It implied the organisation of medical oxygen supply before the patient would arrive at it’s holiday destination.
CARE services were in first instance, and still are, on demand because of the (Spanish) language barrier and it’s 24 hour telephone services in at least 4 other languages. In Spain perhaps someone might, with luck find a medical oxygen supplier who has a staff member that speaks English during office hours. Problems are known to occur mainly in weekends when patients generally arrive and at night time when only Spanish speaking people would answer the phone.
After CARE O2 had build up a solid reputation on the mainland and later it’s islands like Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Las Palmas de Mallorca etc. requests for other counties started coming in. In the beginning mainly for Spanish speaking countries like, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil etc. but soon requests came, also due to our web-site www.oxygenworldwide.com in various languages, from all over the world.
Today CARE O2 has patients in more than 80 different countries and the is still growing. By the end of 2010 we expect to reach at least 110 countries and serving well over 1.000 patients worldwide.
After 9/11 many airlines did not allow patients to take their oxygen cylinders into the cabin anymore. CARE O2 solved this problem by setting up a so called Airport Service where we meet patients on their arrival at the door of the aircraft with oxygen. This service can be provided in various countries.
Cruise-ship deliveries is another CARE O2 service. Although currently under review for the Mediterranean sea, worldwide do we offer many possibilities.
CARE O2 works with suppliers large or small all around the world, our efficiency has not gone unnoticed, these days many of those suppliers are now sending us their patients to be taken CARE of.
The majority of the requests require a solution ´to suit´. Prices are therefore all calculated per individual journey and standard prices hardly exists.

It’s staff members do all speak at least 4 basic languages but between everybody many more languages are known and available.
