Friends and relatives can help by learning about the condition, listening to what the individual needs and avoiding assumptions based on ordinary headaches. Travel is often still possible. When prescribed high-flow oxygen forms part of treatment, suitable equipment, destination availability, accommodation access, delivery and possible refills need to be arranged in advance. OxygenWorldwide coordinates those travel logistics using the traveller’s existing medical requirements.

This article is for general information only and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
