{"id":1386,"date":"2014-11-28T23:19:03","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T23:19:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oxygenworldwide.wordpress.com\/?p=1386"},"modified":"2023-05-05T09:33:04","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T09:33:04","slug":"do-not-smoke-very-dangerous","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oxygenworldwide.com\/fr\/do-not-smoke-very-dangerous\/","title":{"rendered":"Do not smoke &#8211; very dangerous"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\nInvestigators say a patient who was smoking while using oxygen caused a fire that injured both the patient and a staff member at Sanford Medical Center in downtown Fargo last week.<br \/>\nFire chief Steve Dirksen says the combination of pure oxygen and open flame is extremely volatile. \u00a0He says it was quick response by hospital employees that prevented a much more serious situation.<br \/>\nThe exact nature of the injuries has not been disclosed because of the patient confidentiality law.<br \/>\nHospital employees who responded to a smoke alarm early Thursday in the room rescued the patient, had the fire out when firefighters arrived and evacuated patients in nearby rooms.\u00a0Damage to the room was minor.<br \/>\nThe above recent news articles shows how dangerous it is.
